Our 160 amazing volunteers are the driving force of The Friendship Circle. Selfless people who give so much of their own time to enhance the lives of others. Together we are creating an inclusive and accepting community that we all want to live in..
Volunteers can choose from a large variety of programmes through the year in which to participate. Whether you come to a programme once a month or visit a buddy every week it can be a life changing experience for you which makes a huge difference to a person’s life.
All volunteer are carefully recruited, checked for criminal records, trained and supported throughout their volunteering journey.

Become a
one to one buddy
Our one to one buddying scheme matches volunteers with our members based on their interests and suitability. As buddies they can enjoy activities and days out together as well as spending time at home.
Become a shabbat

The Friendship Circle is here to help to build a community around the Friday night dinner table. We facilitate opportunities for our members to join local families at their Shabbat table so that they can experience the warmth and beauty of a family Shabbat
